#Giving Tuesday November 27th 2012
Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Cyber Monday and is a new day of giving thanks. I think every day is a good day to give thanks but it is nice to have another "official" one.
It is really nice to have it right after Thanksgiving because you are already in the thankful mood!
Everyone knows about “Black Friday” or “Cyber Monday.” This year, #GivingTuesday takes its place in the calendar, and will help put giving back into the holiday season.
Join me on #GivingTuesday this year and help remind everyone to get back into the giving.
Go to givingtuesday.org and learn more but really It’s a simple idea. Find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to join in acts of giving. Tell everyone you can about what you are doing and why it matters. Join a national celebration of our great tradition of generosity.
During November, the #GivingTuesday campaign will provide a framework for Americans to contribute to their community and help make this season the biggest giving season yet. It will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world.
Our goal is for #GivingTuesday become a major part of the holiday season, putting giving at the forefront in November rather than an afterthought in December or the New Year.

Donate to those Affected by the recent Tornados!
This is a great cause and a great way for you to give back to those right here in our back yard!
I live in Colorado right now but I used to live in the south for almost a decade! I was worried sick about good friends and family when these deadly twisters came through. Now that we live in the in this age of social media our back yard is all across the US! Now is the time to help fill the most basic needs to those victims of these tornados.
Some fellow bloggers in the area; Just Trying to Save Money, Cincinnati Cents and A Savannah Nite are working together to place limos around the Tri-State Area (Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky) to fill full of basic needs.
