Easter Eggs

I thought I would repost a Easter posting from last year. I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by... I am excited for Easter to arrive this year, because this year we are now members of a wonderful church and my three year old son is understanding so much that he will enjoy it so much more than he did last year. He will "get it" this year and that makes it so much fun!

Last year there was plenty of coupons and sales for eggs, and all of the standard things needed for your holiday dinner, I am hopping for another great Easter deal coming our way soon!

Here is what I posted last year, great little egg...

If you want to dye your eggs and already have some food coloring in the cupboard click here for a great/FREE recipe on how to do it from McCormick.

If you buy one of those Easter Eggs Dye Kits save the little egg dipping wand in your Easter supplies so you will have more than one wand to dip eggs. If you don't you can make these yourself with a piece of coat hanger wire.

The Egg you see shown on this post is a craft project that requires a bit more skill than my two year old has now or maybe more patience than I have now for him to do this kind of project so I may save that recipe for more years. But My older kids will love it.

CRAFT MATERIALS:
Hard-boiled eggs
Rubber cement
Egg dye

Time needed: Under 1 Hour
1. To start, rest the egg in an empty egg-carton lid or on a section of paper-towel tube set upright. Or, wear rubber gloves and hold the egg. Then, using the applicator brush, dribble gobs of rubber cement over the egg.

2. When the cement has dried thoroughly, dip the egg into a bowl of dye. When the desired shade is achieved, remove the egg and let it dry.

3. Peel off the glue and add additional colors, if desired.

Thank you for the great comments, I always appreciate them. This is a family blog, and some folks seem to forget that so I had to ad word verification to keep spam at bay and moderate all comments to remove adult content that is unwelcome on my blog. Thanks for your understanding.
