Green Mountain Coffee!

I am a Bzz Agent and one of the great things about being a BzzAgent is being able to try out new products.

This time I was given some yummy Green Mountain Coffee to try.

We LOVE coffee in this house!   When we were stationed in Germany we would be walking down a cobblestone street and both myself and my honey would stop dead in our tracks from the smell of a strong coffee wafting from a restaurant.  We would share a secret glance at each other and both have to go inside for the hot brew that made such a powerful aroma.

So I like a good strong coffee.  But sometimes strong coffee can be bitter.  Not this wonderful Green Mountain Coffee.  It was bold and strong and full of flavor.

I also like that they are Fair Trade Certifiedand when I popped my sample into the coffee maker and smelled the brew it stopped me in my tracks just like before.   You will just love the flavor.  You can choose from many and they even have those little tiny cups for the fancy coffee machines too.  Breathing the aroma of a new flavor is such a treat.  Really!  Either it be a deep woodsy smell, or something with an earthy aroma it is absolutely wonderful every time.

Check out the Green Mountain Coffee® Facebook page! There you will discover new flavors to try, info like "At Green Mountain Coffee®, we are dedicated to providing the richest aroma and flavor, for the highest quality coffee experience. We travel the globe to purchase the finest coffees, batch roast them to peak flavor, and vacuum package them fresh" for your enjoyment."  and much more!

Kylie Minogue "The Abbey Road Sessions" Album Review

So I received my copy of the new Kylie Minogue Album today and I got a chance to listen to it all day at work and it made a nice change to our drive home.

The first thing you will notice about the album is the great cover art.  She looks like a timeless bombshell beauty.   She is absolutely gorgeous and I love the cover photo.  I read that she has 25 years in music and you would never know it by that picture.

This CD has 16 songs and they all are very classically recorded so they sound really great,  They were recorded in the legendary London's Abbey Road Studios with a full orchestra.  You will not hear that pop sound you may be used to when you think of Kylie Minogue.

How does it sound?

It sounds great really, it is the kind of singing that is done with tallent only, no fancy recording tricks.  It is just a good voice with music really.   I thought she sounded like I feel when I am alone somedays as a woman, not a mom but those moments when you have some woman time with your self or your other girl friends doing  bonding or soul searching.   You know those moments when you need a girl's voice to speak to your soul.  I hear that in her.  I felt like she sort of sounded like a mixture of two great ones, Olivia Newton John and Jewel.

Some of her best known hits are reworked in this album like "Can't Get You Out Of My Head," you won't really recognize it at first.   There is as new song on there called "Flower."  But my favorites were "I believe In You", and "Love at First Sight."    Those were the ones that really spoke to me today.   I like to listen to a new album in different ways in the car, on my iPod, or at work so I get a different perspective for each song.  Some songs are better LOUD!  Some songs are better flowing out of your speakers and floating around the room tickling my ears. You just never know until you experience it each way.

I hope you will check it out, it won't be disappointing she is so tallented.

You can follow her on Twitter @Kylieminogue
The official hashtag is #AbbeyRoadSessions.

I participated in this campaign for One2One Network. I received a free copy of the CD to facilitate my review. By posting, I am eligible for incentives. All opinions stated are my own.

Knot Genie!

I was asked to give the Knot Genie a try and I want to tell you about the product.

The claim that it Magically gets rid of knots in your kids hair. So it will end the melt down madness when you have to untangle a rats nest of hair on one sensitive child's head.

My daughter always had long beautiful hair and it was so thick I my greatest fear was she would catch lice from someone at school and I would never be able to comb it all out.  So I kept her hair in braids and it really helped keeping knots out of her hair too.

Every night I washed her hair and combed it out.  I would have to re-comb or brush her hair every morning before school to put it up in a braid. I wish I had this Knot Genie then.

I have the most unruly hair ever myself.  I have long fine hair.  I have lots and lots of it so you would think it was thick but it is fine.  This means you can comb or brush it out and turn your head for one split second and it will be a tangled mess again!   So I am a perfect tester for the Knot Genie.

Here is what I found:

It will get rid of knots or tangles from hair better than most brushes will.  It seems to allow the bristles to be brushed through with less breakage.  I tried one side of my knotted hair with the Knot Genie and one side with my regular brush.  I felt less pain from the Knot Genie.

If you have a sensitive head of hair then it will sooth some of the pain from brushing because it does brush out the knots much easier.   It is not a cure, but it makes it less painful to be sure.

You can use this sweet $4 off one coupon to get this sweet brush and save your hair from some breakage too.  Let me show you how it works...

The little bristles act like little "fingers" and they gently untangle all your knots.  I think you might like the Knot Genie if you have any one in your house that has some tangled hair.  I love it for my hair because it really saves on breakage, but it would work wonders for morning meltdowns getting a little one off to school.

I was provided a free Knot Genie to review.  I was not required to give a positive review.

Book Review, "The River" by Nichael Neale

Review; book “The River” by Michael Neale

First impression of the book was the cover, which I LOVE!  The cover of this book looks like a worn leather bound diary, and that makes it even more special once you get to know the book after each page.
I have a test you might say for picking out a book.  It is really a commitment test if you think about it.  If I am borrowing a book from a library or purchasing it from a store the first few pages are critical.  If Iam not hooked or at the very least intrigued by the time I read at least two pages forget it.  I won’t take that book home and commit hours or days of my life to it.  Time is critical in Mommy world and I don’t like to waste what I have.
From the moment I finished paragraph two I was committed to this book.  It made me not want to know but need to know more.   Was it the line about the story that changes lives?   Or was it the rugged outdoorsman and the adventure he was dying to tell?  Maybe it was because I have a five year old boy that captures my heart?  Maybe it was all of those things that hooked me right away to this book.  Called to me as the river did to see where it led.
The writing was fabulous.  Just like a good story teller you have to feel the story as you read it from the page and the author does a fantastic job of keeping me on the edge of my seat as I read each page.  I feel the air, the mist and the passion of each life in the book.  It is an art to be able write so well the reader is able to feel the emotion in the character and live in the moments that are written on the page.
There are very few books that I remember forever.   Few books have such a lasting imprint upon me.  I have just a small number of those books sitting on a shelf in my mind.  The River” will now reside on that coveted dusty old shelf.  As the river spoke to Gabriel and his family before him the book speaks to me.  It is an incredible journey about what really matters, forgiveness and being genuinely honest with one’s self.  The moment I closed the cover and dried my eyes I thought of sharing this book with someone that I loved.
I will share it but also keep a copy for me to treasure and pull off that shelf someday to read again and again, like I was calling up an old friend.

the publisher has provided a complimentary copy of this book or advanced reading copy through BookSneeze® for a review.  I was not required to give a positive review and all opinions are my own.

Review, Disney Pixar Brave

Last night my two sons and I went to see the new movie Brave.  I was skeptical if my five year old would even like it because the main character was a girl, but it was perfectly done so that anyone and any age could enjoy it.

There was a little drag in the middle of the story for me but it did not last long.  Then back to action packed and that is what makes it different than any other Disney film where the main character is a girl.  Boys will like this because this hero is a tough horse riding, arrow shooting girl of never ending adventure!   She even sews while riding horseback! She climes cliffs and is as stubborn and wild as her hair.  There is even a couple of great action fighting scenes that will have boy's cheering in their seats.

It was a good film, but from the makers of Disney Pixar that is what you would expect.  They always impress me with their work.  My son already enjoys many of their films, and my older children were completely raised on VCR tapes of wonderfully awesome Disney movies.  Well not completely but ya know what I mean!

And I should mention my absolute FAVORITE part of this whole film and that is the hero is a red headed little girl.  I was a red headed little girl and now a red headed momma, and I love that a red head is a hero and one that everyone wants to marry.  That is just awesome.  Because when you are young sometimes you feel that being a red head is a true curse until you get a bit older and find that it is just one of God's great blessings.

Review KRAFT FRESH TAKE Cheese & Breadcrumb mix

As a member of Kraft First Taste I was sent a free coupon to try the KRAFT FRESH TAKE Cheese & Breadcrumb mix.  I will tell you I loved them!

If you are looking for a great meal and as a busy Mom who isn't, then you will want to pick up a pack of these, some chicken breast and call it!

I only used like three forths of the cheese and bread crumb mixture on my boneless chicken breasts and then I sprinkled the rest on some sliced tomatoes and it was so yummy.  With only 2 minutes prep time this is a win win deal for me.

I once again tossed together a fabulous family meal and they are none the wiser!  Shh !  :)

This could possibly be made from scratch but this was so super quick and easy that I love to have these in my back pocket so to speak when you are at a crunch for time with dinner.

I hope you will try them and let me know what you think too!

Review Ball Park Fully Cooked Flame Grilled Patties

OK, ya'll  know by now that I am a BzzAgent and what that means is brands send me some new products to try out so I can give my honest opinion and create some buzz for their new product.  They really need a buzz for new products and feedback that is constructive.

So that being said I wanted to share with you my Bzz on the Ball Park Fully Cooked Flame Grilled Patties.   Over all they are a good product and I would recommend them. Here is why:

They are all beef number one that is really important to me.  But they are also good tasting.  Your family will eat them and that is also important when it comes you the value of your money.

They are not cheap, but they are a thousand times cheaper than taking your family for McDonald's or some other burger place when you are in a Mommy hurry and need to get them fed.

If you had these on hand in your freezer you could pull all 6 out at once for a family meal or pull them out one at a time for a five year old lunch.  The top of the package reseals so this makes a nice quick meal for me.

They can also be grilled.  We took these to our camper and I didn't have to worry about raw meat or making burgers, we just lit the grill and tossed them on they were done about the same time as a hot dog.

They are not dry either they are loaded with juice and flavor, that you will enjoy.  If you have to microwave them or grill them either way it is a good quick meal.  They don't taste exactly like a burger I patty'd up myself but they are still pretty good.  I microwaved one but cooked the rest on the grill or in the pan, but that is cause I just prefer to not use my microwave as much as possible.

On Friday these go on sale for $5  Safeway and if you pair it with this $1.50 off one coupon from  6-3-12 RP you can have 6 burgers for $3.50!

DEAL!

You can find these at just about any of your local grocery stores so no worries!   Like Ball Park on Facebook, and you could get some sweet coupons!

This will not be a staple in our house but as a BUSY Mom I like to have something quick fast and in a hurry for my back up.  It makes me seem like I am SUPER Mom!   I can always pull something together!  Shhhh  don't tell the others and ruin my REP!
