Child's Christmas Gift DIY

Last year I didn't know what to get my three year old's cousin for Christmas. He was like my son who had plenty of toys and was getting a few more already from Grandma, Mommy and Daddy.
Every time he comes to our house and while he was at his Grandma's house he always loved to play with play dough. But he never put it away so most of the time all his play dough at his house was all dried up hard and crusty.
I decided to make him is OWN play dough and he loved it. It was really simple!
I got some cheap plastic containers at the store like these:

Then I edited one of his pictures I had and put his face and the text Leo's Play Dough on it. Something like this:

Then I printed it out on regular paper and used clear packing tape to put it on the container, being careful to cover the entire photo with no wrinkles in the tape.
Oh isn't that a cute face I picked to show you! Awe that's my Honey Bun, and what a sweet, rotten child, lovable, smart and overly dramatic! Oh back to the post purpose...

Then make this recipe for Home Made Play dough and I made three colors Red, Yellow, and Blue. I wrote the recipe down for his mama and put that recipe card, and all of the play dough all in a nice box and wrapped it up. It was a hit! It was really cheap too basically the cost of the containers is the cost for this gift. Maybe the salt, it takes a lot of salt but that is really cheap!

  3. I think the three year old loved it BECAUSE it did have his name and picture on it. That was the best part.
