The Versatile Blogger Award!

This came as a big surprise!  I won The Versatile Blogger award from Meggie of Shoestring Tightrope.  One it was awesome to have another blogger recognize you, hey everyone loves an "Atta-Girl"  or an "Atta-Blog" as the case may be.  Secondly you get a chance to meet a few new bloggers that you might not have ran into before. Because upon winning this "coveted" award one has to do a number of things including pass this award onto 15 other amazing blogs.  (That is how you get to meet a new face!)
So let me officially thank Meggie over at Shoestring Tightrope for this honor.  Please head over to her blog, Shoestring Tightrope for a quick visit and help me thank her properly!
So here is the to-do-list so to speak:
After accepting the Versatile Blogger Award, the blogger must:
  1. Thank the person who gave the award and link back to them in your post.
  2. Share 7 things about yourself.
  3. Pass this award along to 15 recently discovered blogs.
Seven Things About Me:
  1. In addition to this honor I have already deemed myself The Versatile Mom award long ago.  I was a teenage Mom, Military wife Mom, divorced Mom, Single Mom, working Mom, Stay at Home Mom, you name it.  We have lived so many places and moved too many times.  I have re-invented my self a million times along the way, but each time one thing remains true, my children.  My children are the most important thing to me and so I list this as my number one.
  2. Like Meggie, I am also a Colorado native, but I have lived in so many other wonderful places being a Military Wife and having a Mom that liked to move.  I have even lived in Germany and 12 states!  No one place was best but there are good and bad every where you go.  The most wonderful thing about living so many places is that I have met many wonderful people and made life long friends all across the country.
  3. Come to think about it I am very versatile in all forms of my life.  I love to write, blog, read, craft, draw, paint, coupon, cook, music, laughter and dance.  But it is not just a phase usually it is what time I have left over for me after my children.
  4. The hardest part of my life was when I learned the most about myself.  I was really unhappy and instead of feeling sorry for my self or taking a happy pill I really looked hard at what was making me unhappy and made a declaration to change.  It worked!  With love, God and a true understanding of myself I found my way.
  5. For me saving money came as part of a need for our family and I just learned to do it without wasting all of my time on it.  It is amazing to me how if one looks they can find ways to save almost everywhere without being a crazed couponer.
  6. Did I mention my kids yet?  They are so wonderful and I am so terribly proud of them.  It is an awesome feeling when random strangers come up to tell you how wonderful your children are.  They go out into the world and impress people how awesome is that.  If someone were to ask me what I do I would have to say I am a Mom because that has been the most important part of my life no matter what job I held.
  7. My blog is turning out to be a great way to meet wonderful people. Even though I can honestly say I rarely ever meet a stranger.  Moving so much has giving me the gift of being able to make a friend no matter where I land. With the blog I have met so many good people with wonderful creative ideas and lives.  Hey now I am  making new friends without having to leave the state.  How awesome is that!  I love it.  I hope to make more friends and grow my blog even more.
And now...drum roll....THE 15 AMAZING BLOGS that I am passing this award on to, (in no particular order):

Thank you for the great comments, I always appreciate them. This is a family blog, and some folks seem to forget that so I had to ad word verification to keep spam at bay and moderate all comments to remove adult content that is unwelcome on my blog. Thanks for your understanding.
