Graduation Protection Assistance Program
(The G.P.A. Program)
The G.P.A. Program is designed to assist young adult students (defined as being up
to 24 years of age) who are dependents of their parents and enrolled full-time in
a degree, diploma or certificate program of study at a Maine Community
College. In the event that one or both parents becomes unemployed while their
child is enrolled during the next two academic years (Fall 2009 through Spring
2011), the MCCS will pay for their tuition and fees. The program is limited to
students who are returning in Fall 2009 or entering over the next two years and
meet all other eligibility requirements.
