Trade it in for CASH! Chances are you have an old cell phone or two laying around there are web sites out there that will pay for you old phone. The amount varies depending on the kind of phone you are trading in, but even if it is only a couple of dollars that is more money than dropping it off in some recycling box somewhere.
Also this way someone can use your old cell phone instead of buying a brand new one.
