Social Punk Blog Tour / Review / Giveaway!

I am participating in the Social Punk Blog Tour and it is so cool!   I wanted to participate so I could read a new book, and to bring ya'll some awesome giveaway prizes!  The contest ends on April 30th and you can enter on this page with Rafflecopter!

My Review of the book:

Socialpunk, is about a young girl named Ima.  It is set in the future and the world has been scorched (the book calls it "The Scorched Years.")  She has a good friend a boy of course and a really dis- functional family life.   They live under a dome in the city of Chicago but it is called the Chicago government or under it's control at least. They are basically under control of the government which reminds you of a socialist or communist control.  Ima wants to escape the dome and she and her friend run into some really scary hooded people that are up to no good as you can imagine.  They have a plot an evil one that involves some wicked destruction.  Ima finds out....

The book is a futuristic novel and I rarely read those, but this one has so much human feelings, story and feelings that it makes a nice balance that I really enjoy.  Another thing I enjoy about the book is that I was not bombarded with the story set up in the beginning.  Sometimes authors use the first chapters just to build and introduce you to characters in the story but this book does not.  There is a minimal amount of set up in the beginning but you feel like you just were thrown into the heart of a great story and with each page you get to know the character a bit more.  It is cleverly mingled with in the story line and I love that.  You will definitely enjoy this book no matter what kind of books you normally read. I really enjoyed reading this book, even with my busy life I still found time.  That's how I know I really love a book.  If I can sneak in moments to read in my busy Mom's life then it has to be worth it.

Here is another reason it is worth it:  The cost is only $4.97 (Kindle Edition) on Amazon!   That is a good read for a good price!

If you would like to download a preview of the book you can go to these three places:

I would love it and the author, Monica Leonelle, a digital media strategist and the author of three other novels would rather you buy it of course at these places:

Amazon: http://monicaleonelle.com/SocialpunkA
Barnes and Noble: http://monicaleonelle.com/SocialpunkB

I was provided a free copy of this book to give an honest review.  I was not required to give a positive review and all of the opinions about this book are my own.
